CREW CHANGE SERVICES
Our travel desk handles crew change in all Egyptian ports and Suez Canal.
We also handle crew change for offshore units and PSVs operating in Egyptian Waters.
General Requirements:
- Pre-notice of 48 hrs in advance requested to obtain approvals for embarking / disembarking crew members
- Copy of on-signers / off-signers’ passports and seaman books needed for arranging formalities
- Egyptian Visa is granted on arrival subject crew members are holding valid seaman book (Americans and Europeans can get Visa on arrival even if they are not holding seaman book)
- Nearest arrival and departure airport is Cairo Airport
- In case PCR test is requested for off signers at distained airports (transit airport) same can be arranged from our end.
- Airlines have the right to deny travelers if they display any symptoms of COVID-19
- Vessel must receive quarantine free pratique to permit crew to embark/ disembark
- Hotel accommodation is being booked according to rooms availability (single / double)
- For crew signing off confirmed ticket must be provided to authorities order to allows crew members disembarkation
- In case PCR test shows positive cases on board the vessel disembarkation cannot be allowed for any crew member on board
- PCR Tests are required for Filipino off signers before departure unless they are fully vaccinated and got their booster shots as well.
- Transportation service provider will comply with all rules and precautionary measures for COVID-19 , The vehicles are sterilized, with temperature checks for all passengers and face masks are used for all passengers and drivers
- Drivers are not authorized to have road stop during the voyage between airport /ports and vice versa.
- Medical assistance can be arranged by boarding doctor (shore leave pass for visiting hospital / doctor is not allowed )
- Vessel to transit canal normally and off signers to be arranged once quarantine approve safe disembarkation .
Signing-on Process Requirements
- Clear copies of valid seaman book & passport copies (with atleast 6 months validity) to process seaman visa.
- Air ticket for OKTB with airline.
- Upon arrival at the airport, complete arrival formalities as well as transportation from the airport to the hotel to be arranged by our office.
- Crew joining to vessel after completion of security & immigration clearance.
Signing-off Process Requirements
- Clear copies of seaman book, passport copies (with atleast 6 months validity) to process seaman visa.
- Departure flight ticket.
- Seaman transit pass to be prepared (requires passport, seaman book & flight ticket)
- Arrange transportation a couple of hours prior to flight departure date from either hotel or vessel to airport for smooth departure.
Restricted Items :
All crew should observe below restrictions with caution.
-Customs department instruction the following items are not allowed to be carried as personal belongings, once if found – it will be confiscated: • VHF • Tactical vests • Holsters • Spare Parts • Walkie-Talkie • Handcuffs • Security equipment’s • Digital camera include GPS option • Large quantity of medical products ( Vitamins / Oil Fish ) • Sharp equipment or knives • Satellite phone • Laser pen • Should not carry more than 1 carton of cigarettes & 1 bottle of alcohol • Should not carry more than 1 laptop • No more than 10 thousand of any currency in cash • No more than 1 kilo of chocolate • Any type of Drone (flying camera) ** Off-signer must inform our office before disembarkation immediately in case they are carrying anything from the above for proper action.
